At 17, I joined the nautical branch of the Royal Netherlands Navy. After training, I went straight to sea and saw all corners of the world within a few years.
A few years later, I was accepted for deep-sea diver training. After qualifying, I spent several years on a Navy patrol vessel in the North Sea, Wadden Sea and IJsselmeer.
After leaving the Navy, I worked as an offshore diver, including a period on a project in North Africa.
I then joined the fire service and, after training and examinations, qualified as a first-class firefighter.
I was admitted to police college and spent ten years as a police officer. Helping people was my main motivation. I worked as a motorcycle officer and in the riot police, where I also trained for deployment on and around the water.
I spent several years in business services but missed being able to help people directly. I then started my own funeral business, which I ran for 16 years, before deciding it was time for one more new challenge.
I sold my business and commercial property and bought a luxury motor yacht. I enjoy the freedom of the water and the opportunity to do something for people again.
Together with our hostess, my wife, I make sure you have a wonderful time aboard. We look forward to welcoming you!
